Rocky Goad was born in a small town in southwest Virginia. He grew up with a huge love for dogs. Many years later in life, after owning a dachshund of their own, he and his wife discovered the non-profit Dollar For Doxies and became involved; they are now administrators. They help run three non-profits that help with dogs' emergency bills. He loves the work he does with the non-profits, and it has given him inspiration to become the author of Rocky The Rescue Doxie in hopes to further help the dogs who need it the most.
